Become a Volunteer Tutor

If you can read and write English, like people, and have 1 to 2 hours a week, you can become a volunteer tutor. We provide training, teaching materials, and mentors to assist you in this important work.

Tutor Training Workshop

At last a chance to be a hero and really make a difference by teaching someone English as a Second Language. You can help them:

  • Talk with their children's teachers
  • Apply for citizenship
  • Get a better job

The next Tutor Training Workshop will be held:

Date: Three Saturday Sessions: Jan. 25, Feb. 1, and Feb. 8, 2003
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

  • There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee.
  • We need you to commit to one or two hours of tutoring per week on a regular basis.
  • We provide training, match you to a student and help start your one-on-one tutoring sessions.
